Be rooted to the Church…Psalms 73:28

As I was given the chance to be the speaker on 17th May 2015 in Rasu Baptist Church (Sadar North Baptist Association, TBCU – INDIA), which happens to be my local church, I could not let my eyes away from the natural beauty that the village in which this church is located. Rasu Baptist Church is located in the heart of Rasu village, the church members come from around 10 villages surrounding this church. With a strength of more than 100 this church is not so weak not so big. I could see the bamboos moving with the wind, the big sal tree giving enough shade to provide us with cool environment, and the seasonal mango tree the fruit of which is almost ready to be ripe.

I am indeed very thankful to God Almighty that He has given me with another day of life and further strength to breathe and live. It is very important for us to understand that we have to be well rooted in God (His church). As we look around and enjoy the beauty of greenery I thanked Him for the Holy Spirit for ever guiding and caring us all. I looked into the scriptures Psalms 73:28 (NIV) and read out, “But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.” Truly I don’t see anybody or anywhere that we can strengthen ourselves.

The trees around us spread across the village around the church seems very normal. But if we observe we see that all of them have a similarity apart from being plants, they are all rooted very well in the same soil that provides them with what they need. Any plant that is uprooted from soil is bound to die. Likewise, we too need to be rooted very well in the body of Christ, the church, to live and strengthen our faith. There are few who do not feel the need to attend church service or any fellowship of God. Saying that they will read and pray at home alone.

Psalm 136:25 (NIV) says, “He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.”

Sometimes we really become too proud and selfish to be able to get in the fellowship of God. As we tend to forget that actually it is Him who is the source of our (spiritual) food. Whatever we do, wherever we go, whatsoever may happen, we should not forget our Almighty God, and not only remembering Him but to be with Him is of utmost importance. In a time when our churches are facing crisis, the church leaders need to identify and know that what is important now is to tend the flock and guide them to the church so that they can be fed with the word of God.

Jeremiah 17:8 (NIV) “They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

The world that we know today is very cruel and very selfish. We need to strengthen our fellowship and bonding. We need to struggle to keep ourselves attached with the church so that our spirit will be fed with the word of God. Thus we can be strong enough to withstand any weather.

Yahushua is the true name of the Messiah

***** Note that Joshua = Yoshua or Yahushua because there is no “J” sound in Hebrew. The “J” with its “J” sound didn’t come into the English language until about 500 years ago. In fact, the “J” isn’t even found in the original 1611 King James version.

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the Messiah’s name never was “Jesus” and that the name “Jesus” is actually an invention of man.

In the King James Version of the scriptures, we find an interesting problem in its translation:

Acts 7:44(KJV) Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. 45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

Isn’t this scripture referring to Joshua, son of Nun rather than the Savior? Yes. Here is another instance…

Hebr 4:7 (KJV) Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Again, the context reveals that this scripture is referring to Joshua, the son of Nun and not the Messiah. All other translations put “Joshua” here. Why then is it translated ‘Jesus’? The answer lies in the Greek/Latin corruption of the Messiah’s original Hebrew name. Originally, the name of the Messiah was SonName, pronounced Yahushua. This is the Messiah’s original name. When the Gentiles tried to transliterate His name into Greek, they came up with iesous or “Iesous”. But originally, this word was from #3091 in the Hebrew which is SonName. When Iesous was transliterated into Latin, it became “Iesus”, which was then carried over into English it became our modern day “Jesus” when the letter “J” developed.

Therefore, the reason the King James Version has “Jesus” in those two verses is because the Messiah’s name is actually the same name as Joshua, Son of Nun… correctly pronounced “Yahushua”. It is quite evident that the modern form “Jesus” doesn’t even remotely resemble the original name that the disciples were praying in, baptizing in and receiving so much criticism for preaching in. This is fact. Do some research and see for yourself.

Encyclopedia Americana:

“Jesus Christ— …Although Matthew (1:21) interprets the name originally Joshua, that is, ‘Yahweh is Salvation,’ and finds it specially appropriate for Jesus of Nazareth, it was a common one at that time.” (Vol.16, p. 41)

Encyclopedia Britannica (15th ed.)

“Jesus Christ—…The same is true of the name Jesus. In the Septuagint it is the customary Greek form for the common Hebrew name Joshua;” (Vol. 10 p.149)

Barnes’ notes: (Note on Matt. 1:21)

“His name is Jesus: The name Jesus is the same as Saviour. It is derived from the verb signifying to save. In Hebrew it is the same as Joshua. In two places [Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8] in the New Testament it is used where is means Joshua, the leader of the Jews into Canaan, and in our translation the name Joshua should have been retained.”

Word studies in the New Testament, by Marvin R. Vincent—

“Jesus. The Greek form of a Hebrew name, which had been borne by two illustrious individuals in former periods of the Jewish History — Joshua, the successor of Moses, and Jeshua, the high priest, who with Zerubbabel took so active a part in the re-establishment of the civil and religious polity of the Jews in their return from Babylon. Its original and full form is Jehoshua, becoming by contraction Joshua or Jeshua.”

The Acts of the Apostles, by Jackson and Lake

“Jesus— This is the regular Greek translation of the Hebrew Joshua.”

Smith’s Bible Dictionary:

“Jesus Christ —- The name Jesus means Savior, and was a common name, derived from the ancient Hebrew Jehoshua.”

A dictionary of the Bible, by James Hastings

“Jesus — The Greek form of the name Joshua or Jeshua. Jeshua —- Yahweh is Salvation or Yahweh is opulence.”

Alford’s Greek New Testament, An Exegetical and Critical Commentary:

“Jesus — The same name as Joshua, the former deliverer of Israel.”

Encyclopedic Dictionary of Religion:

“Jesus (The Name) — Matthew’s gospel explains it as symbolic of His mission, ‘For he will save His people from their sins.’ This agrees with the popular meaning as ‘Yahweh saves…’ ” p.1886

Catholic Encyclopedia:

“The Sacred Name —- The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek “Iesous” which in turn is the transliteration of the Hebrew Jeshua, or Joshua, or again Jehoshua, meaning ‘Jehovah is Salvation’ ” Vol. 8, p. 374

Interpreter’s Bible: (Note on Matt. 1:21)

“Jesus: for He shall save: The play on words (Yeshua, Jesus; yoshia, shall save) is possible in Hebrew but not in Aramaic. The name Joshua means “Yahweh is salvation”

Matthew Henry’s Commentary

(on Matthew 1:21)

“Jesus is the same name with Joshua, the termination only being changed, for the sake of conforming it to the greek.”

It can be concluded then, that “Jesus” was not the Messiah’s name when He walked the earth. That is the purpose of this study.

A very faithful woman

An elderly lady was well-known for her faith and for her boldness in talking about it. She would stand on her front porch and shout “PRAISE THE LORD!”

Next door to her lived an atheist who would get so angry at her proclamations he would shout, “There ain’t no Lord!!”

Hard times set in on the elderly lady, and she prayed for GOD to send her some assistance. She stood on her porch and shouted “PRAISE THE LORD. GOD I NEED FOOD!! I AM HAVING A HARD TIME. PLEASE LORD, SEND ME SOME GROCERIES!!”

The next morning the lady went out on her porch and noted a large bag of groceries and shouted, “PRAISE THE LORD.”

The neighbor jumped from behind a bush and said, “Aha! I told you there was no Lord. I bought those groceries, God didn’t.”

The lady started jumping up and down and clapping her hands and said, “PRAISE THE LORD. He not only sent me groceries, but He made the devil pay for them. Praise the Lord!”

A minister tells a joke

A preacher, who shall we say was “humor impaired,” attended a conference to help encourage and better equip pastors for their ministry.

Among the speakers were many well known and dynamic speakers. One such boldly approached the pulpit and, gathering the entire crowd’s attention, said, “The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman that wasn’t my wife!” The crowd was shocked! He followed up by saying, “And that woman was my mother!” – The crowd burst into laughter and delivered the rest of his talk, which went over quite well.

The next week, the pastor decided he’d give this humor thing a try, and use that joke in his sermon. As he surely approached the pulpit that sunny Sunday, he tried to rehearse the joke in his head. It suddenly seemed a bit foggy to him.

Getting to the microphone he said loudly, “The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of another woman that was not my wife!” The congregation inhaled half the air in the room. After standing there for almost 10 seconds in the stunned silence, trying to recall the second half of the joke, the pastor finally blurted out, “…and I can’t remember who she was!”

666 – What’s in a number?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;” Proverbs 3:5

This is what the scriptures are clearly telling us what to do. But still we try to manipulate everything in front of us to make it look the way we want. We tend to lean on what is shown or told to us. Let us look into the scripture,

“Here is wisdom, Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” Revelations 13:18

The Bible teaches that the antichrist will gain total economic and religious control of the entire world. All people will worship him and receive a mark on their hands or upon their foreheads in order to buy or sell. Those who refuse to take the mark will be hunted down and eliminated.

The number 666 is seen as an evil number. This is no doubt because of its appearance in occult films and upon the bodies of certain rock musicians. The number almost puts terror in the hearts and minds of some believers. Read again below,

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelations 13:17)

So there are three things mentioned?
(1) A mark,
(2) A name, and
(3) A number

The three are not the same. This is proven by the use of the word ‘or’. So the number 666 is not ‘the mark of the beast’. Scripture is informing us that the numerical value of his name will add up to six hundred and sixty six. The ‘mark’ that will appear on the antichrist will be a literal mark (emblem or insignia). He will not walk the earth with 666 on his forehead. So to recap what we’ve seen up until now: The ‘mark’ is not the ‘name’ or the ‘number’; the three are separate from each other. Therefore the ‘mark of the beast’ is not 666.

The ‘name’ of the antichrist is not revealed anywhere in Scripture, so this is why his ‘number’ is given. No one will know who the antichrist is prior to his revealing. Because of this we can safely assume that nobody can receive ‘mark of the beast’ until the beast arrives on the world scene. We do not know his ‘name’ because we do not yet have the wisdom and understanding of how to work out his ‘number’

It is the ‘number’ that has so intrigued believers throughout the centuries. Unfortunately this has resulted in many weird and wonderful revelations. Various numerical codes have been devised to calculate the ‘name’ of the antichrist. The following persons have been identified as the beast only to be proven wrong; Nero, popes, Luther, Calvin, Napoleon, Hitler, and even Henry Kissinger. Others have shown that the word ‘computer’ adds up to 666 using a special code. The fact is that names have been manipulated in the past to reveal a person as the antichrist. To arrive at 666 usually English is used. If that does not work out then they will use any other language. If is still does not calculate then a twisting of the spelling or an addition of a title may work. Such practices are ridiculous and unscriptural.

Here’s a good question for you (you’ll get top marks if you get it right). What language was the New Testament written in? Yes, that’s correct, the New Testament (including Revelation 13:18) was written in Greek. Then why use English or Latin to calculate the ‘name’ of the antichrist? Greek has its own personal numerical value. Since the New Testament was written in Greek the number 666 must be decoded in Greek. The wisdom to calculate 666 must be according to the Greek language not any other. If we use English or Latin to work out the ‘number’ then it must also work out in every language. Since this is impossible (because each language has its own numerical values) is it not better to do things God’s way?

Simply put, if the antichrist is from Rome his ‘name’ must be first translated into Greek before the ‘number’ can be decoded. Therefore the Greek equivalent must add up to six hundred and sixty six.

And another example is of the word HOLY BIBLE itself, if we use each letter’s ASCII numerical equivalent, it comes somewhat like this:
= 72 + 79 + 78 + 89 + 66 + 73 + 66 + 78 + 69 = 666.

So I hope people will not start believing that our Holy Bible is the antichrist itself.

What’s in a number?

Is the number of the beast six six six or six hundred and sixty six? The answer to that question is more than obvious, but many interpreters speak of 6-6-6 as the number of the antichrist. They say that since ‘6’ is the number of man, 6-6-6 must represent a false trinity. The number of the antichrist is not three sixes but a single number 666. Unless we see the number in hundreds, tens, and units we will not understand the prophecy correctly. If tomorrow you went to the bank to withdraw £111 you would not accept £3 instead. You know that £1+£1+£1 does not amount to £111. Yet this is what we are asked to accept regarding 666. This method of Bible interpretation is flawed at the outset.

While the number 6 may be the number of man it does not follow that 666 is the number of a false trinity even if we used the faulty understanding mentioned above. Six hundred and sixty six is not the number of any ‘man’ or even ‘three men’, “it is the number of the beast”, meaning that it applies to one person in particular. Only the antichrist’s name will add up to 666.

The mark of the beast which will be placed upon all who worship the antichrist will more than likely be an adaptation of our DNA. Every man, woman, and child (in fact all living things) have their own personal DNA. This cannot be shared with anyone else. DNA can be reduced to a kind of line picture resembling the common barcode. It is not beyond our imagination to see that a series of numbers could be applied to these lines to represent the DNA lines. Such a number would be totally individual to ourselves.

This does not mean that the antichrist’s DNA will add up to 666 because it is his name that amounts to that figure.

Who then is the Beast?

If you have not noticed yet, this is the very point of the Revelation 13:18. I have not offered you any grids to work it out for yourself because I do not believe we have the wisdom or understanding to do so until the time is right. Yes, go ahead and keep watching what is going on in the world. If you must try to work out who 666 represents then make sure you use the Greek language.

No one can be sure who he is at this time. To speculate (and speculation is all it would be) can lead to foolishness. If you believe that John Paul II is the antichrist then be prepared to be 100% wrong.

The ‘wisdom’ to work out the number will be given to those (maybe us) living at the time of the rising of the beast. Suddenly what we have been reading will make sense. The mystery will be ended. The very fact that John writes “Here is wisdom, Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast…” shows that not everyone has such wisdom or understanding.

We believe in something that theologians call “progressive revelation.” This means that certain Bible truths regarding last day events are revealed more fully as the events approach. For instance, few people spoke of the ‘rapture of the church’ before the 1800s. Even though it was always there in the Bible few understood it or thought about it. It was only at the beginning of this century that light was shed more intensely upon this subject. Now we understand what Luther, Tyndale, Wesley and others did not grasp. The same is true regarding the number six hundred and sixty six.

Here's a photo of Condoleezza Rice at the United Nations in 2005 with the numbers 666 behind her. Notice how the logo below was cleverly designed, celebrating the UN's 60th anniversary, to appear as 666 above. Hillary Clinton has taken Miss Rice's place as Secretary of State under Obama. God help us.

In conclusion

The Bible says that whoever takes the mark, the name of the beast, or worships him will be damned for eternity. That ‘mark’ will probably be the insignia of the antichrist, but we can be certain that the ‘mark’ is not the ‘name’ which adds up to 666. Therefore the ‘mark of the beast’ is not 666. The ‘number’ is the count of his ‘name’.

I do not believe that we should look for a man wearing 666 on his head. Nor do I believe that such a number is going to be inscribed on people’s bodies. If you receive a Income Tax form that has the number 666 on it will you believe that it comes from antichrist? Would you be as quick to cast away a £50 note that has the number 666 on it somewhere?

As I stated earlier, correct Bible interpretation is vital in understanding Scripture, especially prophecy. We do not need to twist Scripture to make it fit. God has spoken to us in His word, let’s just allow Him to speak.

Introduction to Color of Yahweh

Welcome everyone,

This blog is totally dedicated to the topic with the name of this blog i.e. COLOR OF YAHWEH.

To start with let us look at the scriptures:

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them,” (Gen. 1:27)

So what does this imply. The scripture doesn’t say that God created animals in His own image. Instead it says “So God created man in His own image…” The Bible is the truth that we actually cannot fathom with this worldly brains or levels of knowledge.

So to go deep into this topic I would like to point out few things. It is very clear from the scriptures that:

  • God has two eyes
  • God has a nose
  • God has a mouth
  • God has two hands with 5 fingers in each hand
  • God has two legs
  • God also has hairs
  • God has two ears

So above is a list of similarities that we can think a little about. Apart from these similarities there are millions more of similarities which I cannot enlist in this single blog. BUT then I was confused, what is the color of God’s skin and hair. What was the color of God’s eyes. Was God tall like those tall central Africans or shorter like some others, what was his height like?

So lets just start slowly. Let us look back to scriptures again,

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them,” (Gen. 1:27)

Now this scripture also tells that there is a concept of male and female in heavenly abode, even though it is usually preached that the angels are not bound to these classifications.

When I was in high school I have read about many creatures that God has created. I read through all the encyclopedia and later on I came to see in Discovery channel how the creatures in the deep seas look like. I saw that as you go deeper and deeper in the sea, the creatures start loosing skin color pigments. Like even a big fish or crab will be transparent enough to reveal their internal organs. Now here’s the turning point.

Back in high school when we read through biology books we get to know that the creatures of the deep seas are transparent in nature because they do not get the sunlight. That’s what even the Discovery channel says. We can even explain this fact with the  green leaves example. We know from the fact available in science that the leaves tend to be green in color because they absorb all the colors except green which they reflect and our naked eyes catch it.

So now that would mean light of sun plays an important role in manifesting surface colors of creatures, plant or animals. As you may know that people go to beaches for sunbath for tanning their skin to make them darker.

Let us look into scriptures again. In Genesis 1:14 it says,

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,”

So this scripture tells us the beginning of sun, and other related facts like times, days, and years.

Also that means from that day (Fourth Day) the sun started pouring its light over the surface of earth and its creatures.

A a deep-water ascidian found in the ocean off Tasmania.

So it is very much understood that the trees began to be green and other animals started to get varying colors on their skin. Whereas the deep sea creatures missed this chance and their skin surface became transparent. So I hope you believe in this fact that our skin color tend to get darker when exposed to sun for longer duration.

So here’s my point:

  • God was there before the sun was made. Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
  • We were made very similar to our God. Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them,”
  • Our features like hand, legs, nose, eyes, etc. and even including our skin were similar to God.

So if God was before the sun was made, when there was no light to differentiate day and night, that would mean God’s skin was not exposed at all to sun rays just like the deep sea creatures. So we can suppose that the skin color of God was transparent. Even His hairs were transparent too as it lacked exposure to sun.

And that’s what I want to put to all of humanity that the God we pray had a transparent skin and hair. He is not bound to any color. And not only that His whole body is transparent. And because of which we can not see Him but can only feel Him when He is even near us.

“who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:16

We cannot see God because light cannot even touch the skin of God.

This small work of research was carried out just out of interest to know and make others know that God may want all humanity to be clear what He is and what powers He carries with Him. He is incomparable. Please feel free to share your thoughts with me in this blog.

This is for the glory of our God the Father. Amen.
